Description
The Aggregate Crushing Value Test Apparatus consists of a steel cylinder with a nominal diameter of 150 mm for holding the aggregate sample during testing, a steel plunger to apply the load, a base plate fitted with a metal guide for precise alignment, and a tamping rod for compacting the sample before testing. This apparatus is used to determine the resistance of aggregates to crushing under compressive loads. It is a key test for assessing the suitability of aggregates in concrete or asphalt works, particularly for road construction
