Description
It is used to measure the resistance of aggregates to abrasion and fragmentation resulting from friction and impacts inside a rotating cylinder containing steel balls, and gives what is called the abrasion ratio (LA Abrasion Value) to evaluate the quality of aggregates used in roads and asphalt concrete.
