In line with the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to maximize the utilization of research capabilities and integrate the scientific infrastructure across Egyptian universities, and driven by Damanhour University's commitment—under the leadership of Prof. El-Hamy Trabees—to elevate its research system and enhance the readiness of its laboratories according to quality and accreditation standards, Prof. Manal Moustafa, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, received Prof. Mahmoud El-Habbaq, Director of the National Bank for Laboratories and Scientific Equipment affiliated with the Supreme Council of Universities. The visit aimed to inspect the university's laboratories and scientific equipment in the presence of Dr. Shaimaa Habib, lecturer in the Physics Department at the Faculty of Science and officer responsible for uploading equipment data to the National Bank platform. For her part, Prof. Manal Moustafa emphasized that the availability of technological infrastructure—represented by laboratories equipped with modern, high-precision scientific instruments—is one of the most critical assets of institutions dedicated to scientific research. She highlighted the vital role these laboratories play in producing reliable, credible scientific results that bolster the educational institution's standing and reputation both locally and internationally. During his visit, Prof. Mahmoud El-Habbaq conducted an inspection tour that covered the central laboratories as well as the labs of the Faculties of Science, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and Agriculture across both the Scientific and Theoretical Campuses. The tour evaluated the available research capabilities and scientific equipment in order to list all of the university's devices on the National Bank platform under the Supreme Council of Universities. This step aims to promote equipment usage among universities and incorporate these instruments into the platform's unified maintenance system. Prof. Mahmoud El-Habbaq noted that the strategic objective of the National Bank for Laboratories system is to explore ways to foster integration among higher education institutions—including universities, institutes, and research centers. This supports Egypt's overall scientific research framework, promotes cost rationalization, and maximizes the return on high-cost scientific devices. He also stressed the immense importance of continuous field visits to assess the current status of laboratories and evaluate them thoroughly. "El-Habbaq" praised the outstanding quality of Damanhour University's research infrastructure and the modern, precise, and advanced scientific equipment housed within its laboratories. He confirmed that the university possesses robust and diverse research assets that reflect the significant efforts made by the administration to advance the research ecosystem. Furthermore, he commended the high level of organization and documentation, as well as the lab managers' dedication to regularly updating device data on the National Bank platform. It is worth noting that this visit aligns with Damanhour University's commitment to fully integrate into the national scientific research system.
