Prof. Amr El-Masry, President of Matrouh University, received a high-level delegation from the Supreme Council of Universities (SCU) during an extensive field visit aimed at strengthening joint coordination and developing the university’s research, administrative, and training systems. The delegation included Prof. Mahmoud Moustafa Elhabbaq, Director of the National Bank for Laboratories and Scientific Equipment; Dr. Rasha El-Badry, Director of the National Center for Training and Leadership Development; and Dr. Mohamed Hassan Gadallah, Director of the Central Unit for Information Technology Training. The meeting was attended by Prof. Ragab Ismail Mourad, Executive Director of the Faculty and Leadership Development Center (FLDC), and Dr. Enas Abd Elhady Ahmed Mitwally, Deputy Director of the Laboratories Unit at Matrouh University. The visit aimed to review the efficiency of existing laboratory equipment and evaluate the university's efforts in human resource development. This serves as a precursor to establishing an integrated system that links the advancement of scientific instruments with the continuous professional development of academic staff. Prof. Mahmoud Moustafa Elhabbaq emphasized the strategic importance of connecting Matrouh University’s laboratories to the National Network for Scientific Equipment, stating: "The integration of Matrouh University into this network is not merely an administrative procedure, but a fundamental step toward achieving research integration across Egyptian universities. Linking laboratories electronically ensures the optimal and sustainable use of scientific equipment and opens vast horizons for researchers to access precision instruments. This contributes to the governance of scientific assets, optimizes spending, and firmly places Matrouh University on the national map of research excellence." The meeting also featured discussions on mechanisms to activate cooperation with the training and digital transformation centers of the Supreme Council of Universities. This includes implementing advanced training packages designed to ensure sustainable institutional excellence. Concluding the visit, the delegation praised the tangible efforts made by Matrouh University’s administration to develop its human capital and scientific assets. They reaffirmed that the integration between training and research institutions is the true catalyst for achieving comprehensive scientific progress.
