Description
A classical pharmacological apparatus used to study the effects of drugs or neurotransmitters on isolated smooth, cardiac, or skeletal muscle. The tissue is suspended in a temperature-controlled glass chamber filled with physiological salt solution (e.g., Krebs). One end is fixed, and the other is connected to a force transducer to measure contractions.
