Description
Rock petrography A specialized intermediate attachment for ZEISS upright microscopes. It houses the Analyzer (a high-quality polarizing filter) and the Bertrand Lens. The Bertrand lens is used to observe the "interference figures" (conoscopy) of crystals. It features a sliding or rotating mechanism to engage/disengage the polarization filters and the auxiliary lens.
