Description
A UV Gel Documentation System is used to photograph and analyze gels after electrophoresis. The gel (agarose or polyacrylamide) is stained with fluorescent dyes such as ethidium bromide or SYBR Green, then exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. The UV light excites the dye, causing DNA or protein bands to fluoresce, allowing them to be visualized and captured using a high-resolution camera for documentation and analysis.
