The device also includes an arm with a handle at the bottom that controls the raising and lowering of the circular disc (jaw). A circular disc with an upward-pointing, porous surface is used to hold the test specimen. A circular metal template, hollow inside and semicircular at the four corners, is used to secure the specimen around the clamping screws and adjust it to the device. Finally, a circular handle rotates around the disc to secure the specimen.
